Gov’t Expected To Establish ICT Incubator Hubs In Ghana


The First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has announced government's intention to establish ICT Incubator Hubs in all the regions across the country. 

This is to help drive innovation and creativity among the youth especially women. 

She said it is important to create the opportunity for women to flourish and celebrate them when they do well. 

Mrs Akufo-Addo said this when she opened the Women Innovator and Entrepreneur workshop organized by the Africa Innovation Foundation in Accra.
 
The purpose of the African Innovation Foundation is to increase the prosperity of Africans by catalyzing the innovation spirit in Africa. 

The “Innovation Prize for Africa” is a landmark initiative of the African Innovation Foundation (AIF) which seeks to support the development of African innovation ecosystems through ongoing collaborative programs and strategic partnerships with governments and innovation influences across the region. 

The First Lady Rebecca Akufo Addo indicated that the growth of every economy depends on the ability to be creative and innovative. 

She added that the time has come for Africa especially women to change the narrative to be recognized on the globe.

The Deputy Minister of Environment Science Technology, Patricia Appaigyei stressed the although women face slot of challenges in their quest to get to the top, the right policy framework will go a long way to help women.
