Amnesty International urges government to abolish death penalty

Amnesty International Ghana is advocating life imprisonment without parole instead of the death penalty. 

A new report by Amnesty on the death penalty highlighted the need for government to abolish it.
 
The Human Rights Group bemoaned the slow process to abolish the death penalty and argued that ''there is no justice in killing somebody who has committed a crime '.
