Former Lands Minister, Inusah Fuseini Admits Planting Listening Device In Amewu's Office

Former Lands and Forestry Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini has admitted planting the listening device which was recently discovered in John Peter Amewu's office.

In separate radio interviews on two Accra based private Radio Stations, Peace FM and Neat FM Tuesday morning, Alhaji Fuseini explained the device was planted for his personal security whilst he was the Minister at the Lands Ministry.

He however, said he did not inform his predecessor about it because it was not working.

Asked why he did not take it away when he was moving out as minister since it was a personal property he said, "for what purpose" and that he left it there because it was not working.

Nii Osah Mills took over from Alhaji Fuseini as Lands and Natural Resources Minister.

He said it was planted there around 2013.

On Monday the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, John Peter Amewu confirmed to Radio Ghana that National Security operatives removed listening devices hidden in his office. 

According to Mr. Amewu, security agencies have begun investigations into the matter.
