US commander says Iraq must stop Islamic State 

The US Commander has warned that the war against Islamic State, IS is not over, despite the "historic" victory in Mosul.
 
Senior US Iraqi commander, Lt Gen Stephen Townsend said there are still IS fighters in Iraq.
 
The army officer said the Iraqi government must up it game if it intends to stop IS from emerging.

He urged Iraq to reach out and reconcile with the Sunni population and assure them of the government's interest in their welfare.
