US Military Plane Crash Kills 16 Persons In Mississippi

At least 16 people have died after a US military plane crashed in the southern state of Mississippi last night.

The crash occurred in LeFlore County, about 100 miles north of the state capital, Jackson. 

The County's Emergency Management Director, Fred Randle, said all 16 victims were on the Marine Corps aircraft and there were no survivors.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant has described the incident as a tragedy.
