Kumawu MP, Reiterates Calls For The Revival Of VALCO

The Member of Parliament for Kumawu has reemphasized on calls for the revival for the Volta Aluminum Company limited, (VALCO). 

He said THE revamping VALCO will boost the development process but was quick to add that there must be a strong Political will to achieve results.

Speaking on Radio Ghana’s Current Affairs Program, “Behind the news”, the MP also explained that it will also check the high unemployment situation.

The General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union ,ICU, Solomon Kotei, said though VALCO is  important to the economic growth of the Country, lack of political will on the part of government has not propelled its full operation. 

Last week, Members of Parliament on the floor of the House, suggested the revival of the Volta Aluminum Company limited, (VALCO).
 
The MP's believe the move will help drive the aluminum industry in the country.
