MP calls for revival of VALCO

Members of Parliament have called for the revival of the Volta Aluminium Company limited, VALCO.
 
The MP's believe the move will help drive the aluminium industry in the country.
 
Speaking on Behind the news, the MP for Kumawu, Phillip Basua explained that it will also check the high unemployment situation.

He emphasized that revamping VALCO will boost the development process but was quick to add that there must be a strong Political will to achieve results.

The General Secretary of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union ,ICU, Solomon Kotei, said though VALCO is  important to the economic growth of the Country, lack of political will on the Part of government has not propelled its full operation.
