200 Living With HIV/AIDS In Ghana's Prisons- P. R. O. Discloses


The PRO of the Ghana Prisons Service, DSP Vitalis Aryeh has confirmed to Radio Ghana that 200 inmates in the country's Prisons are living with HIV and AIDS.

He said the victims contracted the disease outside the Prisons.

DSP Aryeh said, the Prison Service in partnership with some health NGO's are providing health care services to them, as well as educating other inmates to desist from practices that may lead to contracting the disease.
