Ola SHS '77' students refurbish school infirmary

The 1977 year group of the Ola Senior High School in Ho, have refurbished the schools infirmary as part of their 40th Anniversary. 

The group also donated assorted items such as mattresses and bedspreads worth 10 thousand Ghana cedis to the school. 

The President of the Past Ola Girls Association, POGA 1977 Year Group, Madam Georgina Doamekpor said the School has given them a firm foundation on which they built their lives and career over the past 40 years. 

The Ola Senior High School's infirmary has been in a deplorable state for many years and is unable to serve the growing student population. 

This situation compelled the 1977 year group, to adopt the infirmary as part of giving back to their alma mater. 

Madam Doamekpor noted that the commitment of the teachers over the years, coupled with students' zeal to study has seen most of them excel in their endeavours and urged continuing students to be disciplined and take their studies seriously.

The Assistant Headmistress of the School in charge of Welfare, Patricia Kodjo-Azumah thanked the year group for the gesture. She said the school's dormitory and the kitchen needs some refurbishment and appealed to other year groups and benevolent organisations to assist. 

A Thanksgiving Service and Banquet will be held tomorrow (July 2), at the Mary Mother of God Counsel Catholic Church in Accra to climax the anniversary.
