Narrating the incident on Behind the News, the Chief of Kyerema Ankomah in the Kintampo North Municipality, Nana Effah Guakuro said an intoxicated taxi driver after picking up his car from the mechanic, ignored attempts to stop him from driving because of his state and drove into the oncoming articulated truck from the Northern Region. On ways to prevent the cycle of tragedies in Kintampo, Nana Guakuro said the President of the Regional House of Chiefs together with a delegation will be meeting today to discuss the issue and if possible pacify the gods for any offence they might have committed. Meanwhile the Chief of Kyerema Ankomah, Nana Effah Guakuro says more than thirty trees fell on students at the Kintampo waterfalls due to a wind storm that hit the area on Sunday. He said the town has never experienced such a tragic disaster around the Water falls. Speaking to GBC`s George Asekere on Behind the News, Nana Guakuro blamed the accident on the neglect of the tourist site due to the invasion of some alleged NPP supporters who have sacked its management. He said attempts to resolve the issue have been unsuccessful. He indicated that it will take some time to clean up the Kintampo waterfalls. GBC
