Dietician urges Schools under feeding Programme to add eggs to meals to fight malnutrition A Dietician, Collins Afriyie Appiah, says eggs should be added to meals under the School Feeding Programme to help fight the problem of child malnutrition in Ghana. According to him, one in five Ghanaian children is undernourished while eggs, which he describes as nutrient gold mine, can help improve the situation. Such a move, it is believed, can give a major boost to the local poultry industry which is in dire need of investment and patronage. Mr. Appiah, was speaking at a summit to facilitate financing agribusiness investment opportunities in Sunyani. It was organized under USAID’s Financing Ghanaian Agriculture Project (USAID-FINGAP) and brought together stakeholders in maize, rice, soy and the poultry as well as financial institutions. GBC
