Nungua Traditional Council announces death of Wor-Lumor


The members of the Nungua Traditional Council have called on former President John Agyekum Kufuor to inform him of the transition of Wor-Lumor Konor Borketey Laweh Tsuru I, Gborbu Wulomo/Shitse.

The delegation was led by Nii Borteyfio Bortekwei Afadi-Nsro I, Nungua Nkpor Mantse and Obrempong Nii Alabi Dzenge VI, Nungua Mankralo.

They gave a copy of the funeral programme to the former President.

The late Numo Borketey Laweh, the Overlord of the Ga-Dangme State would be laid in state from Tuesday, February 28, to March 4.  

He died on November 24, 2015.

Former President Kufuor expressed gratitude to the Council members for having him in mind and assured them of his presence at the funeral.

He called for peace and unity among the Ga-Dangme people for progress whilst urging Ghanaians to accord their traditionalists the needed respect.
