Bimbilla clashes: 16 granted bail by court Sixteen persons who were recently arrested in Bimbilla for breaching the curfew in Bimbilla have been granted bail by the Tamale District Court today. The sixteen appeared before the court presided over by Anthony Aduku Aidoo. Presenting the facts of the case, the Prosecutor, Chief Inspector, Martin Obeng Botwe, stated that the complainants were security personnel on operations at Bimbilla. The accused persons were on February nineth, 2017, caught flouting the revised curfew in Bimbilla, which was occasioned by a clash between the Nakpaa Naa and the Andani gates in Bimbilla. The clashes left 10 persons dead, while several houses were burnt. The sixteen persons are expected to reappear before court on the 27th of February, 2017. The sixteen persons were part of 21 persons arrested during curfew hours, but after screening, five were released. GBC
