NHIA to pay NHIS providers soon

The National Health Insurance Authority NHIA says it is working with the Ministry of Health to release monies this week to pay hospitals which are NHIS providers. 

Some government hospitals have complained about the undue delay in payment of their claims which they say is affecting the healthcare delivery.

However, in an interview with Radio Ghana, the Deputy Director of communications for the NHIA, Selorm Adonoo explained that the delay is as a result of the processes involved in releasing monies.
