Gender Ministry to dialogue with 'Kayayeis' 

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection will soon initiate a national dialogue with actors in the Head Porters business, popularly called Kayayei to see how to empower and integrate them into mainstream society. 

The sector Minister, Madam Otiko Djaba in an interview with the GNA during the 55th session of the UN Commission for Social Development said the inhuman conditions the Head Porters endure are an indication that the country is not doing much for the vulnerable.
