Ghana needs national airline - Cecilia Dapaah Aviation Minister-designate, Cecilia Dapaah, has reiterated the need for Ghana to have its own national airline. During her vetting by the Appointments Committee, Madam Dapaah, said Ghana can cash in and make gains in the booming air travel business. She said all things being equal, within a year or two, the country should have a national airline. Madam Dapaah pledged to revive the Aviation Training School at Afienya to whip up interest of women in the sector. Madam Dapaah gave the assurance that government will continue with the refurbishments of the country's airports. She said the Tamale Airport will serve as a maintenance centre as well as fuel farm for airlines in the country. It will also come in handy as the Aviation hub for the Sahalian region. Madam Dapaah also emphasised the need for a thorough audit of the Aviation sector to ensure its efficiency. GBC
