COP Kofi Boakye transferred to Accra

Commissioner of Police, Nathan Kofi Boakye, has been transferred from the Ashanti Region where he served as the Regional Commander for about three years, to the Police Headquarters in Accra as the Director-General in charge of Research and Planning.

GBC’s correspondent reports that even though opinions of residents of Kumasi in particular appear divided on his performance during his duty tour, many of the people share the view that the outgoing Ashanti Regional Police Commander has made an indelible mark in the promotion and maintenance of safety and security in the region.

According to respondents in an opinion survey, COP Kofi Boakye, who became popularly known as ‘Commander One’ in the people's appreciation of his hard work, also instilled discipline among personnel of the police force in the region while making judicious use of the available resources to the service in the region.
