Ghana needs vibrant railway system - Joe Ghartey The Minister designate for Railway Development, Joe Ghartey says a vibrant railway system is the best option to rapidly improve the country's economic agenda. Appearing before the Appointments Committee of Parliament, Mr. Ghartey said many countries have progressed in economic sense because of the availability of railway systems. He said there will be a master plan to construct rails to selected areas to help transport agricultural produce and mineral resources easily. Mr. Joe Ghartey admitted that financing the sector, is a major challenge. He was happy President Akufo Addo has shown commitment by creating a railway ministry and hoped the needed support will be provided from the right quarters. GBC
