Gov't to sanction employers who fail to pay minimum wage

Minister of Employment and Labour Relations designate, Ignatius Baffuor-Awuah has stated that employers who pay their workers below the national minimum wage will be dealt with in accordance with the law.  

He said such employers are violating the law and appealed to them to desist from that act. 

Mr. Baffuor-Awuah said this when he appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

Mr. Baffuor-Awuah said government will embark on intensive education of workers on their rights and responsibilities so that they would not be cheated by their employers.
