Committee set up to probe alleged Parliament bribery scandal A five-member Special Committee has been constituted to investigate the alleged hundred thousand Ghana Cedis bribery scandal that has rocked the Appointments Committee of Parliament. The Committee which is to be chaired by Former Second Deputy Speaker and MP for Esikadu/Ketan Joe Ghartey has a thirty day period to report its finds to the House. Parliament took the decision today (Jan. 31) when the First Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the Appointments Committee Joseph Osei-Owusu and the Member for Effiduase/Asokore Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie made statements on the Floor on the scandal.
