President Akufo-Addo Swears-In New Ministers President Akufo-Addo has sworn into office, the first batch of Ministers-designate approved by Parliament. Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo and Local Government Minister Hajia Alima Mahama were among those who took the oath of Office. Foreign Affairs Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway is on official assignment and is expected to be sworn-in tomorrow, (Jan. 27). The ceremony took place at the Flagstaff House in Accra. In a brief speech to the new Ministers, President Akufo-Addo directed them to declare their assets within 14 days on assumption of office in an accordance with the 1992 Constitution. He said his government attaches much importance to the fight against corruption and asked his Ministers to be at the forefront of the campaign. President Akufo-Addo made the statement when he swore into office 12 out of the 13 Ministers-designate approved by Parliament. The President announced that he has declared his assets and expects his Ministers to do same. GBC
