Activities of encroachers affecting Weija Dam - GWCL

The PRO of the Ghana Water Company Limited, Stanley Martey says legal interventions by encroachers on its property are hampering attempts to prevent encroachment.

He said this is affecting plans to expand the Weija Dam and other property of the company.

Mr Martey was speaking in an interview with Radio Ghana on the activities of encroachers along the banks of the Weija Dam.

Mr Martey called for discipline and cautiousness of the public when buying lands.

He said even though the GWCL has been reporting activities of the encroachers along major Dams in the country to the police, nothing has been done.
