Poor performance of MPs due to lack of technical expertise- Governance expert 

A governance expert Professor Baffour Agyeman Dua says the poor performance of MPs on debating bills in parliament is due to lack of technical expertise. 

He said this should however not be an excuse for not contributing to debates on the floor of the house. 

On the performance of female MPs he said this should challenge more women to present themselves for election to ensure parity in the legislature. 

Professor Agyeman Dua wonders why sanctions have not been preferred against the 73 MPs who absented themselves from sittings without permission from the Speaker.
