Ghana Statistical Service & ministry of health to commence maternal health survey on 27th of this month

The Ghana Statistical Service in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Survey will on Friday the 27th of this month begin a data collection exercise on maternal health.
 
The survey which will also cover all other pregnancy related issues is aimed at determining the level of maternal mortality and causes of maternal deaths in the country. 

The, Head, Field Operations and Logistics, the Ghana Statistical Service, Peter Takyi Peprah, tells Radio Ghana that field officers have been trained and deployed to the ten regions of the country to collect data for the first phase of the survey.
