Ensure constant supply of gas to forestall 'dumsor' - Expert The Executive Director of the Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment, Ishmael Edzekumhene says the Floating Storage Regasification Unit, FSRU, is critical to the energy sector. Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said the unit will help in the provision of enough gas to fuel power plants. Mr. Edzekumhene said it will go a long way in eliminating Ghana's struggle for gas from Nigeria to augment the gas produced by the Atuabo gas plant. Touching on the vetting of Energy Minister Designate, Boakye Agyarko, Mr. Edzekumhene said within the first six months of being in office, Mr. Agyarko must ensure that there is enough supply of light crude oil to fuel the power plants until Atuabo is restored otherwise "dumsor" may recur. On the resignation of the CEO of Ghana Gas, George Sipa Yankey, Mr. Edzekumhene said he has left a good legacy in the generation of gas in Ghana. GBC
