Former UN Staffer Fatoumata Tambajang named Gambia's Vice President The Gambia's president, Adama Barrow, has named Senior politician Fatoumata Tambajang as the Vice President, as regional troops continue security sweeps to prepare for his return to the country from neighbouring Senegal. Presidential Spokesperson Halifa Sallah, said more appointments will be announced later today. Madam Tambajang, a former minister and United Nations Development Programme staffer, was the architect of an opposition coalition that helped Mr Barrow to defeat longtime ruler Yahya Jammeh in the December 1 presidential election.
