AFCON 2017: Black Stars Clash With Eagles Of Mali  

Ghana's Black Stars will this afternoon take on the Eagles of Mali in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Gabon. 

A win for the Stars will see them through to the quarter finals of the competition after they beat Uganda by a goal to nil in their opening game. 

Mali who are making their ninth appearance in this competition, won the last competitive fixture against the Black Stars by 3-1 in the third place playoff in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, South Africa.  

The Black Stars had earlier beaten the Eagles by 1-Nil in the group stages of the same competition.

The Stars will be looking to extend their dominance over the West African counterparts, in their quest to end their 35-year trophy drought.
