One out of every four girls gets married before age of eighteen - WILDAF

Statistics on child marriage in Ghana indicates that one out of every four girls in the country gets married before the age of eighteen. 

This record is one of the highest in the world. 

The Programme Officer of WILDAF Ghana, Abigail Edem Honuhu who disclosed this on the Uniiq Breakfast Drive attributed the trend to poverty, gender inequality, teenage pregnancy among others.
