Ministerial Nominees Vetting Underway In Parliament

The Appointments Committee of Parliament has begun quizzing individuals nominated by the President for various ministerial portfolios. 

The Senior Minister designate, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, was the first to appear. 

He explained his new task as one separated from that of the Chief of Staff. 

He said the Senior Minister will be coordinating activities of the economic sector. 

Others detailed to appear today, January 20 are Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister designate - National Security, Ken Ofori-Atta,  Minister designate for Finance and Dominic Nitiwul, the Minister designate for Defence.
