AFCON 2017: Black Stars are ready for Uganda - Avram Grant

Ghana's coach Avram Grant says the Black Stars are ready for their first game against Uganda.

“Uganda is a tough team that plays very good football. They gave us tough moments in our past two meetings, but that is history now,” he disclosed to GFA on twitter.

On Ghana’s AFCON opener against Uganda, he disclosed that “the spirit is good and we're looking forward to the first game.”

In a related development, Ghana's coach Avram Grant has told the Black Stars to focus on the present as they prepare for their group D opener against Uganda. 

The two teams are renewing hostilities after the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifying clash in Tamale about three months ago, where the Black Stars were held to a goalless draw game. 

Ghana will be looking forward to end its 35 year drought after they lost to Ivory Coast on penalties last time. 

Key players Asamoah Gyan and West Ham midfielder Andre Ayew would be key to a good performance by the Black Stars. 

Reports say some key players of Uganda did not make the AFCON squad, limiting any chances the Ugandans may have in sailing through to the next round.
