President Akufo-Addo Charges Black Stars To Win 2017 AFCON Tournament

President Akufo-Addo has urged the Black stars to ensure that they win the 2017 African Nations Cup, AFCON.

The President who took  to Twitter extended his wishes to the players, technical and management teams of the Black Stars. 

He said it is time the Black stars end Ghana's 34 year wait for the AFCON trophy asking them to go for gold. 

Although the tournament will start later today (Jan. 14), in Gabon, the Black Stars will play their first match on Tuesday (January 17) against Uganda. 

The team has been preparing in Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates since January 2 where they played against Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan on Tuesday in a friendly which they won by two-nil.
