Use social media to fight extremism - Security Expert proposes

The Head of Programmes at the African Centre for Security and Counter-Terrorism, Emmanuel Kotin says the use of military force to counter activities of extremists should not be the only option. 

He suggested the adoption of effective social media strategies, since extremists use that media to espouse their propaganda and will be an effective tool to counter them.  

Mr. Kotin said this at Legon at the finals of the maiden competition on "The Use of Social Media to Counter Extremism Among African Universities".
