Gambia poll winner Adama Barrow says Jammeh should not seek asylum

The winner of last December's presidential election in The Gambia, Adama Barrow, says he is confident he will be sworn in next week despite President Yahya Jammeh's refusal to give up power.
 
Speaking to the foreign media, Mr Barrow called on Mr Jammeh to engage in direct talks.

Mr Jammeh, whose term officially ends next Wednesday has challenged the election results in court.
