President Akufo-Addo On First International Assignment To Mali For Bilateral Talks President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left Accra today for Mali on his first official trip outside the country since his swearing-in. Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to hold bilateral talks with his Malian counterpart, Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, and enter into some trade agreements with that country. The crisis in Gambia will be top of the agenda in their discussions as the two leaders try to find a lasting solution to the problem in the West African state. After naming his ministers for vetting by parliament, the president has set the tone for more work as his days in office begin to tick. Prior to his inauguration Nana Akufo-Addo was in Nigeria on a three-day visit, where he attended the 2016 Future of Africa Awards ceremony in Lagos. He called Nigerian President Mahammadu Buhari during the visit. President Buhari was one of his guests at the inauguration ceremony. GBC
