Calm restored to Ejura following police intervention in attacks Calm has been restored to Ejura in the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality of Ashanti following Police intervention in reported attacks on some caterers of the School Feeding Programme in the area. Five persons who were given Police Medical Forms to attend hospital for treatment of minor injuries they suffered from the attacks are yet to report back to the Police. The Public Relations Officer of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, ASP Yusif Tanko Mohammed told GBC’s Radio Ghana in Kumasi that there were no gunshots in the course of the attacks as being speculated by a section of the media. He said five persons contracted by the School Feeding Programme (SFP) reported to the Ejura Police at about 9am today (Jan. 12) that they had been attacked by four men claiming to be members of the NPP and asked the caterers to hand over the job to them. He said no arrest has been made so far as investigation has been initiated to unravel the truth. GBC
