President Akufo-Addo Announces Final Batch Of Ministerial Nominees The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has released his final list of Ministerial appointments at the Flagstaff House. He mentioned 11 personalities bringing his list of Ministerial nominees to 36. President Akufo-Addo added five new portfolios, namely Ministry of Inner Cities and Zongo Development, to be headed by Boniface Abubakar Siddique. Ministry for Planning to be headed by Prof. Gyan Baffour who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Wenchi. Minister of Business Development goes to Ibrahim Awal Mohammed. Another new portfolio is the Ministry for Special Development Initiative, to be headed by Mavis Hawa Koomson. President Akufo-Addo explained that this Ministry will oversee the disbursement of the $1m per constituency. It will also monitor how the money is spent. The other new portfolio created is the Ministry for Aviation to be headed by Cecilia Dapaah. President Akufo-Addo named his spokesperson Mustapha Hamid as Minister designate for Information. He asked the media to give him full cooperation. The rest of the nominees are Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Catherine Afeku who is also MP for Evalue-AJomoro-Gwira Constituency, Minister of Youth and Sports is Isaac Asiama who is MP for Atwima Mponua constituency, Ministry of Fisheries is headed by Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, MP for Krowor, Ministry of Chieftaincy – Kofi Dzamesi and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs – Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu who is MP for Suame as well as Majority Leader in Parliament. President Akufo-Addo is expected to submit the list of the third batch of Ministerial nominees to Parliament when it resumes on January 24. GBC
