143 Port Industry Players complete training 143 Port Industry Players including freight forwarders and transport owners taken through a-three-month course in Customs House Agent Proficiency Training have graduated. They were presented with proficient certificates. The Commander of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, John-Vianney Kundamnunu, in a speech congratulated the graduates for successfully completing the training. He said custom brokers are partners to the Division especially in the area of revenue mobilization, collection, trade facilitation and the fight against threats to international trade. He said the knowledge and competence the personnel have received must be used for that purpose; adding that they are expected to assist the Division to facilitate trade and investment whiles safeguarding the Country from illicit activities and emerging threats. The President of the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders, Ofosu Appiah, also advised players in the port industry to refresh their knowledge to meet up with international standards. The Best student at the Course, Caroline Afi Parker, on behalf of the participants thanked the Customs Division for the knowledge imparted. GBC
