Ghana to be vetted on phase one of nuclear plant establishment Ghana is to be assessed in the phase one of her preparedness towards establishing a nuclear power plant. The phase one, known as the Milestone Approach, entails 19 issues considered before taking a decision to own a nuclear power plant. All the 19 issues have been addressed paving the way for a peer review by the Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review (INIR) mission from the 16th - 23rd of this month. The Director General of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Prof. Benjamin Nyarko, who disclosed this to Radio Ghana, said apart from the Milestone Approach, stability of a country is a priority to the International Atomic Energy Association, IAEA.
