Trade Minister Designate Alan Kyerematen Bereaved 

The sister of Alan Kyerematen, Trade Minister-designate, has died.
 
Reports say Mrs. Bridget Kyerematen-Darko, who was involved in the La gas explosion, died Wednesday morning.
 
Her death brings to 12 the number of fatalities in the explosion, which occurred in December last year. 
 
The explosion occurred when the machine emptying gas into the containers on site caught fire and lighted the electric cables close to the gas station.
 
The Fire Service’s preliminary investigations into the incident confirmed that the explosion was caused by ‘irresponsible human error’. 
 
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, when announcing 13 ministerial nominees which included Alan Kyerematen as Minister, disclosed that, the Trade Minister- designate was absent at the function because his sister's condition had worsened and he was currently by her side. 
 
Twelve persons including Mr. Kyerematen's sister survived the accident with various degrees of injuries. 
 
Some of the survivors of the explosion which occurred at the Glory Oil Gas station are still on admission at the La General Hospital and 37 Military Hospital in Accra. 

It emerged that the sister of Alan John Kyerematen was among the injured in the gas explosion that occurred last year near the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre at La in Accra.
 
Twelve persons including Mr Kyerematen's sister survived the accident but sustained various degrees of injuries.

 
She was married to one Mr. Darko of GC-Net.
