President Akufo-Addo Creates New Ministries President Akufo-Addo has created a Ministry of Railways Development to be headed by Joe Ghartey, a former Second Deputy Speaker and Attorney-General under erstwhile President John Kufuor. There is also a new portfolio, Monitoring and Evaluation, which would be headed by Dr. Akoto Osei as Minister of State. The President has also separated the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, re-aligning it into a new Ministry known as the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources. This Ministry would be headed by Joseph Kofi Adda, MP for Navrongo Central. He was a former Minister under the previous NPP government. The rest are John Peter Amewu for Lands and Natural Resources, Gender Children and Social Protection goes to Otiko Djaba, Employment and Labour Relations will be headed by Ignatius Baffour Awuah, The Ministry of Transport goes to Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Ursula Owusu Ekuful heads the Ministry of Communications, Kwesi Amoako Atta - Roads and Highways, Atta Akyea - Works and Housing and Prof Frimpong Boateng - Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.
