Former President Mahama To Hold Talks With Yahya Jammeh Today


Former President John Dramani Mahama will today, Thursday, January, 12, join other regional leaders to Banjul to hold talks with President Yahya Jammeh on the current situation in The Gambia. 

President Jammeh has, after earlier conceding defeat in Presidential polls, annulled the elections and called for a re-run. 

Mr. Mahama has accepted the request of the regional body, ECOWAS, to join the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and two others to attempt a resolution of the political situation in The Gambia.
