ECOWAS Mediation Team to meet Embattled Gambian leader Yahya Jammeh on Wednesday 
 
The ECOWAS mediation team tasked to oversee the crisis in the Gambia will on Wednesday meets with that country's leader, Yahya Jammeh.

This was contained in a communique issued in Abuja, at the end of a meeting between ECOWAS Chairperson and President of Liberia Ellen Johnson Sirrleaf, Nigeria President and Mediator in the Gambia crisis, Muhammadu Buhari and Co- mediator Ghana's Former President John Dramani Mahama. Nigeria's Foreign Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, read out the communique. 

Former President John Mahama was asked by President Akufo Addo to represent him at the ECOWAS Mini-Summit.
