Experts On NDC's Defeat In December 2016 Election

In less than five days, Ghanaians will welcome a new President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). 

He beat incumbent President, John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), by one million plus votes of 271 out of the 275 constituencies counted in the December 7, Election. 

NDC Party sympathizers are still questioning how this happened? What really led to the abysmal performance of the ruling party on December 7?

Some analysts have pointed to the Rawlings factor, saying the NDC had drifted from the ideals of the party, which founder and former President Jerry John Rawlings names as; Probity, Integrity and Accountability.
