AFCON 2017: Coach Avram Grant names 26-man squad

Black Stars Coach, Avram Grant, has named his provisional 26-man squad for the 2017 African Cup of Nations tournament to be held in Gabon.  

Captain Asamoah Gyan leads the side that will begin an 11-day training tour in the UAE before travelling to Gabon on January 13 for the competition. 

Ghana has been drawn in Group D alongside Mali, Uganda and seven time champions Egypt

The list features rather known faces with the inclusion of a couple of new ones.       

Goalkeepers: Razak Braimah, Adam Kwarasey, Richard Ofori 

Defenders:  Harrison Afful, Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman, Frank Acheampong, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Edwin Gyimah 

Midfielders:  Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Afriyie Acquah, Thomas Partey, Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu, Ebenezer Ofori, Samuel Tetteh, Joseph Larweh Attamah 

Forwards: Asamoah Gyan, Jordan Ayew, Abdul-Majeed Waris, Andre Ayew, Ebenezer Assifuah, Bernard Tekpetey, Rahpael Dwamena
