Ghana Police To enforce ban on fire crackers The police administration has warned that all those engaged in the sale and use of fire crackers will be dealt with according to law. The Assistant Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Inspector David Fianko Okyere said that in an interview with GBC 24on Thursday. A ban was placed on the use of fire crackers to stop the dangers and nuisance associated with the bangers. However, they are being used with careless abandon, which is an indicator that the instruction is not being adhered to. Many people get frightened when such explosives are lit within earshot. The ear-splitting noise alone is disturbing. Some people ignite the fireworks in the midst of a crowd, or sometimes throw it at a person, or into a car in motion. GBC
