Gambians set Office of Electoral Commission on fire 

Reports from Gambia say unknown assailants have set on fire the office of that country`s Electoral Commission, ''the Election House''. 

Gambia’s Election Chairman, Alieu Mamar Njai, maintains that although the country`s election house has been set on fire, nothing was going to change President Elect Adama Barrow’s Victory. 

He said Mr. Barrow remains the winner of the December 1 polls. Mr. Njai has also confirmed that he and his staff have been denied access to the building by armed guards. 

He debunked Mr. Jammeh's claims of electoral malpractice saying it lacks merit. 

The Chairman says in the interest of peace, and stability, President Elect Adama Barrow, should be allowed to assume office in January, when Mr. Jammeh’s term expires.
