Evacuation continues 

The evacuation of Syrian civilians and rebels from eastern Aleppo is expected to continue for a second day.

More than three thousand people were bussed out of devastated districts yesterday but according to the UN as many as fifty thousand are still trapped there.

Thousands of people, including a large number of civilians, have been killed during the fierce fighting. 

The US accused the Syrian government of carrying out "nothing short of a massacre" in the city.
