EC Condemns NPP’s Declaration The EC is entreating all political parties to desist from declaring the 2016 election results. The EC at a News briefing said it has taken notice of the pronouncement of the NPP on the polls and said by law it is only the Chairperson of the EC who has the right to declare the winner of the election. The Director of Electoral Services at the EC’s headquarters Samuel Tettey addressed the media. The EC has also urged Ghanaians to remain calm and wait for the EC to perform its constitutional mandate in declaring the certified election results. GBC
