Anglican Diocese appeals for peace as the nation goes to the polls on Wednesday

The Anglican Diocese of Accra has called on Ghanaians to work together to secure the peace of the nation as it goes to the polls on Wednesday, Bishop of the Diocese Rt. Rev. Daniel Mensah Torto said this in a message to the nation at a peace concert organized by the youth of the church at the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish at Mamprobi in Accra.

The church said Ghana needs not go the way of some African nations which have been torn apart due to leadership crisis.

The Director of Youth and Children's Affairs of the church and Parish Priest of the Saint Justin Anglican church, Ablekuma, Rev. Father Edward Foli Adade decried recent violence in some parts of the country in the run up to the upcoming polls saying people must be decent in their utterances to ensure peaceful elections.


Those were messages of peace highlighted at a peace concert held last night by the youth of the Anglican Church at the Saint Francis of AssisI Anglican church, Mamprobi.
