The Daily Graphic is disturbed about the turn of events at yesterday`s special voting. It says if the EC failed the litmus test, conducting a voting process for 127 thousand people, what then will happen on December 7 with 15 million voters on the electoral roll. The Graphic says the EC must return to the drawing board with all stakeholders with the hope of addressing the challenges.  The Paper says with December 7 just around the corner the EC must put mechanisms in place to reduce tension that has always characterised elections in the country.  The Graphic believes Election 2016 is a test case for the EC Chair, Charlotte Osei adding that she cannot afford to disappoint Ghanaians and the international community.

The Ghanaian Times describes as heartwarming the fact that the seven political parties have committed to peace at the time tensions are high and supporters are engaged in sporadic clashes across the country. The paper says by appending their signatures to the Peace Accord, the parties have demonstrated an affirmation to work for a peaceful, transparent and credible election so that the outcome will be the true representation of the will of the people. They must talk to their supporters not to go contrary to the document. The Times believes by committing to the Peace Pact, the parties will uphold its spirit and letter.
